LPI Exams
During the Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE) be sure to take advantage of advancing your Linux and Open Source credentials by taking discounted LPI exams.
The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is widely recognized as the world's leading Linux certification (http://www.lpi.org). LPI, as a vendor-neutral non-profit organization, develops its world class exams through a global network of IT professionals, enterprise customers, and academic organizations.
Given the growing adoption of Open Source Software (see http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Linux-and-Open-Source/Report-Recession-Enterpri...), a LPI certification will demonstrate to potential employers and customers your familiarity with open source solutions and your in-depth professional knowledge of Linux.
LPI will offer discounted paper-based tests at SCALE on Sunday February 21st at 11:00 and 13:00 hrs. The exam lab will be located in the Midway conference room at the The Westin LAX, 5400 W. Century Blvd., Los Angeles, California.
All LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams (101, 102, 201 and 201) will be offered at the discounted price of $99 each---a savings of over $60 per exam. Since seating is limited exam candidates should reserve a seat for the exam labs at events@lpi.org and indicate their preferred time slot and which exams they plan to take. Bring the following with you to the exam labs:
