Students in Open Source: The OpenInfra University Partnership Program Growth and Lessons Learned

Over 100 students later, we have learned a lot about how to structure and optimize the OpenInfra University Partnership Program (UPP). The UPP still aims to alleviate the Open Source hiring vacuum that exists in the tech job market globally, while benefiting students and the open source projects they work on in addition to the larger ecosystem the projects exist in. This talk will explain the lessons learned, complete with anecdotes, after reaching this benchmark. It will also take the audience through the planned improvement and save time for questions from the audience about how to set up a UPP between the OIF and universities they have contact with.
