This is your community

The Austin tech scene was very different 12 years ago and was dominated by enterprise companies. Folks who worked on the same problem across enterprises didn't talk to each other, and there was a lot of reinventing the wheel. At this time, we created a small community of 10 people and called it "Austin Cloud User Group". In 2018, this group is over 2500 Austinities, and the leaders in the group and community also put on Devopsdays Austin, which is one of the most popular and unique devopsdays held in the world.

I'll talk about the history of the Austin community, what works really well, what we can get better at, and more importantly, what YOU can do in your own city to build an awesome tech community. We are all in this together.
