ELK to Elastic Stack: a Journey of 3+ Years in Production
Audience:
Topic:
When I joined Nativo in March 2014, Nativo was a small startup with a lot of potential and only 18 employees. Engineering had no visibility or adequate monitoring into systems performance. The ELK was the first system I implemented. Nativo's Elastic Stack has come a long way from ELK (Elasticsearch 1.x, Logstash 1.x, Kibana 3.0) to Elastic Stack 5.x ingesting over 150M documents and consuming 225GB across four AWS Regions.
Nativo has grown to 175+ employees and Engineering is now 30+. Elastic Stack has become critical to Nativo's Production Systems and we will not deploy to production without the visibility that the Elastic Stack provides.
