Ty Shipman

Ty works with SMBs to achieve compliance for PCI and SOC2 standards. He has been working in the industry for over 25 years as a programmer, systems architect, and manager of development, IT and DevOPs teams. He was a cofounder of Kagi, an e-commerce company based in the San Franciso Bay Area where he worked on Payment systems for 15 years. He was one of the original team members of LoopPay (a.k.a SamsungPay Boston) where he was a Director of Security and Compliance for 5 years. When he is not finding and curing security issues, he spends his time scuba diving and photographing sea life. He is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and holds 2 patents for anti-fraud and customer recovery mechinisms in the online payments industry.
