Proud Heng

Proud is currently an undergraduate junior at University of California, San Diego studying Math-Computer Science. She is interested in the intersection between the open source community and gaming for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education; aspiring to make technical knowledge as relatable and enjoyable to learn to different audiences. As a past intern with {code} by Dell EMC, she contributed to the development of an Amazon Web Services Elastic Block Storage driver for libStorage, and presented a demonstration of container infrastructure using Minecraft. Currently she is designing a proposal for an interactive Kinect game exhibit at the Birch Aquarium to teach K-12 students about deep sea creatures, and is a mentor for FIRST high school robotics competition teams.
