Global Education Link

The Global Education Link (GEL) offers inexpensive, ecologically friendly computers to educational institutions. GEL's goal is to leverage low-cost technology for promoting improved communication and the sharing of knowledge worldwide.

GEL will be demonstrating the SolarLite $100 PC along with its customized version of Demi Linux. The SolarLite is a fully featured, book-sized computer with a unique, maintenance free, no-moving parts design. The noiseless SolarLite PC weighs just one kilogram and can be powered by a single solar panel. More information regarding this project can be found at www.solarlite.org.
