Building Oracle on LXC Linux Containers on Ubuntu

This presentation discusses why it is a good idea to deploy Oracle on Ubuntu using Oracle Enterprise Linux OEL LXC Linux Containers.  Reasons for using containers instead of traditional hypervisor-based virtualization include 10x the density using containers, extreme elasticity improvements due to greatly reduced deployment times and extensive automation, performance benefits because containers access compute, storage and network at bare-metal utilizations, and manageability improvements because skillsets required to support containerized deployment are standard linux skillsets, with no need to support artificial hypervisor technologies.
