IBM's Spencer Krum will be giving a talk on "Secure Mesh VPN with Service Discovery" at SCALE on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 11. The SCALE Team caught up with Spencer and asked him about his presentation.
Q: Could you please introduce yourself and tell us a little about your background?
A: My name is Spencer Krum. I work on OpenStack for IBM. I've been doing Linux and OpenSource things for around five years.
Q: You're giving a talk on "Secure Mesh VPN with Service Discovery." Without tipping your hand on the actual talk, can you give us an idea of what we might expect?
A: I found an older piece of software that is still maintained and very useful. This talk is about what I do with it and what you can do with it. All the better, it helps us be more secure.
Q: Is this your first visit to SCALE? If so, what are your expectations? If not, can you give us your impressions of the event?
A: This will be my first SCALE after hearing a lot from other people about how good it is.
Q: Are you a developer on any of the software you are presenting on?
A: No, this is just software I use and enjoy talking about.
Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add?
A: Thanks for putting on SCALE. I can't wait.
