Having spoken at about 75 Open Source conferences, Russell Pavlicek says that speaking at SCALE is one of his favorites during the course of the year. A long-time FOSS advocate, Russell speaks on SCALE 13x Sunday at 3 on "The Next Generation Cloud: Rise of the Unikernel." The SCALE Team caught up with him to ask him about his presentation.

SCALE Embedded Day

This year SCALE 13x has introduced a full day devoted to things Embedded with talks on Hardware and Software for debugging, Build Environments, Internet of Things development and other topics specifically related to Embedded Linux Development.  You'll be able to hear from industry and community experts in the embedded space on a variety of topics and even see flying fish (aka drones).  If you have an interest in working with embedded software and hardware, this is the event for you!  The SCALE 13x Embedded Day will be taking place on February 20th from 11am to 7pm.

Speaker Interview: Rikki Endsley

Red Hat's Rikki Endsley thinks that many in open source aren't using social media as effectively as they could. But all is not lost: Rikki's giving a presentation, "Confessions of a Reluctant Tweeter: Social Media for Open Source Projects," on SCALE 13x Friday at 3:45. The SCALE Team finally caught up with Rikki and asked her about her talk.

Next to escaping the snow currently blanketing New England, Matthew Miller is most excited about visiting SCALE 13x and speaking at the event. Matthew will be speaking on SCALE 13x Sunday at 4:30 on "Fedora.next: Bringing Change to a Classic Distro (without too much kicking and screaming)."
