George-Andrei Iosif

Andrei spent 2022 as the technical leader of a startup automating cybersecurity solutions and as a security engineer in the Romanian Army. He left the public sector after finding that the startup idea was unfeasible, and accepted a position at Canonical to safeguard Ubuntu and its open-source components. His area of expertise is software security, and he has lately contributed to the open source with projects such as multiple SAST tools and a cyber reasoning system. In addition, he occasionally analyses cybersecurity papers in a segment of the Ubuntu Security Podcast.
