Community is the great power of any open-source project. It's not only because people can write code together. Actually, for the big mature products, the code contribution is a hard process that requires a few months, sometimes years. However, there are a lot of other ways you can support maintainers and the project itself. They include quality assurance, security reviews, localization, documentation and, of course, recommendations.

DBeaver, the popular open-source tool for database management, has more than 8 million users and a very active and friendly community. During the talk, we will review different types of contributions on live examples from DBeaver life. We will also sort out the main mistakes and ways to avoid them to make your contributions accepted as soon as possible.
