An Introduction by Gina Likins will open the OSSIE (Open Source Software In Education) track by providing a high-level picture of what open source in education looks like today, along with an overview of opportunities and challenges. Dr. Sam Coleman will tell you about the research he’s conducted on software use in classrooms: the differences between no software, open source and proprietary – what works best? Our first session will wrap up with a introduction to xAPI, which changes the way we think about the enterprise learning ecosystem. Kenneth Wyrick will walk through one+ teacher use case(s), browse a list of activities w/ definition related to the above use case(s)Introduce, and demo the Learninglocker Learning Record Store (LRS).
