Charles Kalil

Charles Kalil is the Information Systems Manager for the City of Garden Grove. He has worked in the IT field since 1984, starting his career at the City of Buena Park. Charles has been at Garden Grove since 1993 and was part of the IS team that implemented Linux in 1995. Garden Grove was one of the first municipalites to use Linux in a production environment. As Manager, he continues to implement Linux and other Open Source initiatives where ever feasable.

Charles Kalil will discussing how the city of Garden Grove, California successfully migrated much of their information systems to Linux over the past few years.
