Enhance Your Kubernetes Experience with GitOps & Flux

GitOps has revolutionized the continuous delivery (cd) process. There are many benefits to adopting GitOps, such as enhanced security, velocity, and reliability. The GitOps tool that started it all is Flux. Flux is a set of continuous and progressive delivery solutions for Kubernetes that are open and extensible, enabling GitOps and progressive delivery for developers and infrastructure teams. It is the 18th CNCF project to graduate (the highest level within the CNF). 

There are several tools that can enhance and extend Flux. In this talk, Priyanka “Pinky” Ravi will talk through and demonstrate the setup and use of a few. The first one is Weave GitOps, which is an open source GitOps Dashboard web UI that provides insights into your application deployments, and surfaces key information to help application operators easily discover and resolve issues. Next Pinky will show the GitOps Tools Visual Studio Code extension that provides an intuitive way to manage, troubleshoot and operate your Kubernetes environment following the GitOps operating model, accelerating your development lifecycle and simplifying your continuous delivery pipelines. Lastly, Pinky will demo the Weave GitOps Terraform controller, which is a controller for Flux to reconcile Terraform resources in the GitOps way.
